Our kids have read 22,500 minutes so far this summer! That’s a little over a third of the way to our goal of 63,000 minutes during this Summer Reading Program season. Let’s keep our kids reading this summer so there won’t be a drop in their reading skills when they get back to school in the fall. Besides, reading helps expand their imaginations and spark creativity! We don’t care if they are reading a newspaper, the cereal boxes at breakfast, comic books, or the new Harry Potter that’s about to be released, we just want our kids to be the best readers possible! So let’s keep encouraging them to read!
Hey Everyone – It’s that time of year again! Summer Reading Program Sign-up begins Tuesday, May 31st. We will be sending things home with the students listing the dates and times of the special events lined up for this summer so be on the lookout for a bookmark in their backpacks!
